Alexander Nevsky cathedral, Sofia
The Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral is in Tsar Osvboditel Place at the centre of Sofia.
It was completed in 1914.
The Alexander Nevsky Cathedral is said to be a symbol of the gratitude of the Bulgarian people
to the Russians who in 1878 liberated the country from 500 years of Turkish rule.
