A graveyard in Kordestan

Town graveyard on the road to Tabriz This graveyard was just off the road in the outskirts of a small town in Kordestan.

At that time rural Iran was quite poor, especially the remoter area such as Kordestan. Note that most of the headstones are just as they came from the quarry. We only noticed one grave with a stone that appeared to have been shaped by a mason.
