We bivouacked on the Cuillin Ridge at the head of Coire Lagan between Sgurr MhicCoinnich and the Inaccessible Pinnacle. Dave Beer lower right.

We had decided to do it in style, carrying all the neccessary bivouac gear with us - bivvy bags, sleeping bags, and a stove for the essential brew up. Not for us sitting around on a cold Scottish mountain, huddled in our waterproofs and our feet in our rucksacks - this was supposed to be a holiday!

The problem with a two-day traverse of the Cuillin Ridge is not just the climbing and bivouac gear that has to be carried, but all the water that needs to be lugged up to the ridge - and this had been my job. (But at least I didn't have to carry the rope.)
