Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele The Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele is the most popular rifugio in the area. It is not cheap, but has excellent facilities including a restaurant. It has litle relationship with the British idea of a 'mountain hut'.

When I had been here in June the Rifugio Vittorio Emanuele was crowded, but this time there was no problem in getting beds. By the time we arrived the day trippers had left and only the serious climbers remained.
