Roccia Viva

We were now on the last stretch up to Colle Lauson, with lots of crumbly rock underfoot.

The photograph shows the view south. The complex mountain on the left is Apostoli, the highest peak being Torre del Gran San Pietro (3692 m). To its right, near the centre of the photograph, is Becca di Gay (3621 m). One of the peaks between them is Roccia Viva (3650 m) although which one is not clear in this photograph.

The Roccia Viva-Apostoli chain contains some of the hardest rock and ice climbs in the area.
