Route to Rifugio Vittorio Sella

Ascent to Rifugio Vittorio Sella After leaving Valnontey it took about three hours to climb up to the Rifugio Vittorio Sella. The gradient was very leisurely, the route more of a walk than a climb.

It was late afternoon and most of the people on the path were coming down after a day's outing up to the rifugio.

The Rifugio Vittorio Sella catered for this summer trade, and in fact closed during the autumn (or at least it did in 1980).
