Valnontey, Cogne Valley

Valnontey, Cogne Valley Cogne at the head of the Cogne Valley is a short drive from Aosta. A short distance away is Valnontey (1666 m) where a well-beaten path leads up to the Rifugio Vittorio Sella (2584 m).

We were to spend the night at the Rifugio Vittorio Sella and head for Colle Lauson in the morning.
