Wanchai waterfront, Hong Kong Island
Hong Kong's Wanchai district waterfront, looking along Gloucester Road towards the North-East.
Wanchai means 'firewood bay', the name deriving from the amount of timber washed up on the Hong Kong shoreline
in the days of sail.
The white bar that can be seen top left is part of the barrier that forms the Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter,
and also houses the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club. The coastline then continues to North Point.
