White Dagoba viewed from the Forbidden City

This photograph of the White Dagoba was taken from the Forbidden City looking North above the roof tops. The White Dagoba is an unmistakable landmark in Beijing.

The White Dagoba is located on Jade Isle in Bei Hai park which adjoins the Forbidden City. It was built by Shun Zhi in 1651 to commemorate the first visit to Beijing of the Dalai Lama.
