Ken Cawley and the Dubai Airport Fire Brigade Ken Cawley was the Fire Officer for Dubai Airport. He and his family lived in one of the few European-style apartment blocks in Dubai. There were few Europeans in Dubai, consisting mainly of eployees of International Areradio Ltd, the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank (part of the Lloyds Bank group), and the shipping firm, Grey MacKenzie. There was also the British Political Agent and his staff.
